Scouting Report

OVERVIEW
Alexander was one of the most improved players in college basketball last season, seeing his scoring average explode from 5.5 as a Creighton freshman to 15.7. Most of the points came on 3-pointers, where his 97 last season were just three shy of Kyle Korver's school record for a sophomore.
Comparisons with Korver don't favor Alexander, however. Korver took only 221 3's that season, making 45.2%. Then he hung around two more years, improving his figures to 129 3's and 48.0% as a senior. Alexander, meanwhile, fired off 266 3's last season, and made just 36.5% of them.
ANALYSIS
More and more 3's are being shot in the NBA these days, and more and more are being missed. That's the good news for Alexander, who missed (233) almost twice as many as he made (129) in his college career. He'd have been wise to at least attempt to improve on his accuracy rate before putting his numbers up for NBA scrutiny.
The best thing to say about Alexander is he's athletic enough to elude defenders and has enough size for a combo guard (6-foot-4) to get off his shots from the perimeter. If only he made a few (dozen) more.
Projection: Undrafted
