Scouting Report

OVERVIEW
Brazdeikis, a Lithuanian-born Canadian -- like former Michigan star Nik Stauskas -- led the Wolverines in scoring as a true freshman, averaging 14.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. "Iggy" burst onto the scene with an 18-point effort against Villanova and a 24-point outing against North Carolina before the calendar turned to December.
He helped 30-7 Michigan reach the Sweet 16, where the Wolverines lost to eventual national runner-up Texas Tech, despite his 17 points and a season-high 13 rebounds.
Prior to Michigan, he was a prolific scorer at Orangeville Prep in Ontario, Canada, averaging 30 points as a junior and 28.4 as a senior. His international experience includes helping Team Canada to a fifth-place finish at the Under 17 FIBA World Championships in 2016.
Brazdeikis showed high-level versatility at the NBA Draft Scouting Combine but matchups on the defensive end raised questions about his best fit going forward.
ANALYSIS
The 6-foot-7 Brazdeikis is a high-motor player with a creative offensive game. He does not wow with elite athleticism or the quickest first step, but his good feel for the game and movement without the ball usually leads to good scoring opportunities. And he opens up his own driving lanes because defenders have to respect his 3-point shot; he drained 39.2 percent (56 of 143) from behind the arc at Michigan last season.
Coming off a season at Michigan under John Beilein, Brazdeikis understands what it take to play defense, but he looks like a 'tweener defensively at the NBA level. His average speed and quickness will make it difficult for him to stay in front of NBA small forwards, and he doesn't offer exceptional length or physicality against power forwards.
Make no mistake, though, he's willing to bang down low and, at 20 years old, he's young enough to add muscle to get the job done. Early in his career, however, his role might be limited to being a spot-up shooter.
Projection: Second round/undrafted
