SNAPSHOT: It's not a surprise to see a star receiver with a basketball background, but he was good enough on the court to earn a spot on USC's 2020 team. He was dominant in his three years with the football team, earning all-conference honors in both 2020 and 2021. Despite fracturing his right ankle after only eight games in 2021, he still managed to win the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year award.
Strengths: Excellent size and catch radius allows him to win jump-ball situations. Hands are quick and urgent to finish the catch process. Incredible lateral agility allows him to launch out of route breaks. Creative with his tempo. Tough to predict in man coverage. Great downfield ball tracker who can adjust to poorly thrown passes. Natural at creating yardage after the catch. Plays with rare vision to find cutback lanes and hit openings as a runner. Body control and coordination allows him to win at the boundary.
Weaknesses: Energy and effort in the run game varies too often. Lacks ideal burst to surprise NFL cornerbacks at the line of scrimmage. More of a build-up speed runner than someone who will take the top off a defense. Always looking for an extra move instead of just hitting the gas.
PRO COMPARISON: A.J. Green, Cardinals - A slender receiver with special ball skills and body control, Green's athletic traits made him one of the most difficult matchups in the league for the better part of a decade. London isn't as dominant with his hands and will need to polish his routes, but he has rare traits to build his game around.
