Career Highlights:

The Los Angeles Kings captain helped guide his team to the Stanley Cup in 2012, recording eight goals and 12 assists over 20 playoff games and getting a goal and two assists in the clinching victory. That kind of big-game performance and leadership is what Team USA was looking for when it again selected Brown, who will be making his second appearance in the Olympics and will be one of the team's alternate captains after helping the United States to the silver medal in Vancouver. He'll be looking to help upgrade that result this time with a more productive performance after he went without a point in the six games in 2010. A fast and physical power forward, Brown was a good fit for the philosophy of Team USA general manager David Poile and coach Dan Bylsma, who were looking to construct a quick transition team that boasted plenty of speed. Continuity was also a factor in selecting Brown, who is among 13 players that were also on the roster for Vancouver. "What I always say about the Olympics, it's another level," Brown told the Los Angeles Times. "Doing it in 2010, going into it, you didn't know what to expect at the Olympics. It's an awesome tournament, just a really fun thing to be a part of." Brown brings plenty of international experience to Team USA, having played in 52 such games. He's scored 191 goals with 213 assists in 699 career regular-season NHL games, and he has 70 goals and 68 assists on the power play in his 10 years in the league.
