Career Highlights:

While the injury-plagued Fisher has had to overcome several setbacks over the course of his career, he’s more than ready to hit the slopes in Sochi. Fisher, who made the 2010 Olympic team but didn’t compete due to a broken hand, more recently underwent ACL surgery in 2012. After sitting out the 2013 season, Fisher appeared close to full strength in November, when he won a pair of downhill competitions at Copper Mountain. Fisher returned to the World Cup circuit shortly after, but he failed to finish higher than 13th in any of his nine races. Fisher, who has never reached the podium at a World Cup event, won his first and only European Cup gold medal in a downhill competition in 2011. Fisher is ranked 33rd in the FIS downhill standings, 47th in Super-G and 93rd overall. While Fisher is a longshot to medal at the 2014 Games, his making it back to the Olympics is an impressive achievement of its own.
