The younger brother of 2010 Olympic moguls bronze medalist Bryon, Wilson began skiing at the age of four and got his start in moguls when he and his brother began building their own courses in Butte, Montana. The 2007 World Cup rookie of the year, Wilson earned a second-place ranking in the NorAm standings with five podiums and two victories in 2011 and continued to improve the following year, earning eight top-10 results on the World Cup circuit, including a pair of fourth-place finishes. The 2013 season brought even more success for Wilson, who finished on the World Cup podium four times, including notching his first victory on that circuit. He closed the season ranked fourth in the FIS moguls standings and finished eighth at the 2013 world championships. He also won the dual moguls title at worlds last year. Wilson bounced back from a handful of disappointing World Cup results this season with consecutive third-place finishes to secure his spot in Sochi for his Olympic debut.
