Career Highlights:

Known affectionately by his teammates as "Woodsy," the slopestyle specialist is considered one of the best in the world in his discipline as he heads to Sochi for his first Olympics. Hailing from the north of England, Woods first became interested in skiing at the Sheffield Ski Village when he was 10 years old and enters this year's games as a serious medal contender. He won five consecutive British national championships from 2007-11 and also took bronze at the Euro X Games in 2011. He won the Crystal Globe during the 2012-13 World Cup season and followed that with a silver medal at the world championships after finishing eighth at worlds in 2011. It was only the second time a British athlete has won a medal at the world championships in any event. His current World Cup season got off to a good start with a second-place finish in his first competition, but Woods went on to finish 11th and 68th in his next two competitions on the circuit. He has climbed atop the World Cup podium three times in his young career.
