Career Highlights:

Gregg, who turns 30 this summer, is by far the oldest first-timer on a U.S. cross-country team full of them. Seven of the 14 members of the squad will be making their Olympic debut in Sochi, the next-oldest "rookie" being Ida Sargent, who just turned 26. Gregg enters the 2014 Games looking to build on his recent success at the national championships, where he finished second in the 30-kilometer freestyle mass-start race Jan. 8. According to U.S. coach Chris Grover, Gregg is expected to compete in the 50k freestyle in Russia, and there's a chance he could also race in the 30k skiathlon. While Gregg has earned five SuperTour wins over the course of his career, he’s never finished higher than 39th on the World Cup circuit. Gregg, who was an All-America in Nordic skiing at the University of Alaska Anchorage, is married to 2010 cross-country Olympian Caitlin Gregg. Caitlin was a strong contender for the Sochi team as well, but, somewhat controversially, did not make it past the final cut.
